When the Special Olympics came to Ireland in
June 2003, Monaghan Town became the host
town to Team Utah from America.

The eight athletes and three helpers from Utah
were treated to the time of their lives as the
host town committee pulled out all the stops in a bid to give their visitors a flavour of life in Monaghan.

This souvenir video includes the Special Olympic Torch Run through Monaghan, Team Utah’s arrival, Glaslough Harriers reception, a tour of Castle Leslie, the Irish night in Knockatallon, a gaelic games demo at Monaghan Harps,
a reception in Carrickmacross, a visit to the wildlife centre
at Clontibret and the Special Arch Club Party.
